Privacy

Short version: your drawings never leave your device, and Pixelight doesn't track you.

Your files

Pixelight runs entirely in your browser. It opens files from your device and saves to your device. It has no account, no upload and no server of its own for your work.

What stays in your browser

So that nothing is lost, the sprite you are working on is kept in your browser's storage as you work, with access to the file you opened (where the browser allows it), so it opens again after a reload. Your tool settings and theme are kept there too. You can clear all of it with your browser's site data.

The clipboard

Copy and paste use your system clipboard only when you copy or paste.

No tracking

Pixelight sends no usage data, uses no analytics and sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

If something goes wrong

When the editor stops on an error, it keeps a short technical report in your browser and offers it the next time, with a button to copy it. It is never sent anywhere.

Hosting

The website and the editor's files are served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles the requests your browser makes to download these files. Your drawings are not part of them.
